Projects Abroad offers two week volunteering specials

Wednesday, 9 February 2011 2:25 PM

If the thought of rising tuition fees is making you think about shelving your gap year plans until after university, then Projects Abroad can help you get a taste of Gap Year volunteering during your summer holidays.

The Two Week Specials are targeted at students aged 16 to 19 who don’t have months and months to devote to an overseas project.

There are over 40 projects to pick from, with opportunities for building up work experience in journalism, law, teaching and medicine.

Students can expect a mixture of taught sessions, hands-on and observational work, as well as evening activities and weekend excursions in an overseas destination with a group of other like-minded national and international students.

Peter Slowe, founder of Projects Abroad, said: "The two-week specials are great for students needing inspiration and hands-on work experience. Taking part in a volunteer project also looks great on your CV.”
