New route opens from Singapore to Pekanbaru
SilkAir, part of Singapore Airlines, today launched its new direct service between Singapore and Pekanbaru, Indonesia. The new thrice-weekly service between Singapore and the capital of the Riau province in Sumatra will provide over 700 seats each week boosting a fledgling tourist industry.
Almost half of passengers admit to flirting while flying
Even in the age of budget airlines the glamour of flying still holds sway over passengers, as a recent survey from Skyscanner found that 45 per cent have tried flirting with the person sitting next to them on the plane.
