Gore Mountain offers double slopes and Burton demo
Festive visitors to the New York state ski resort of Gore Mountain will be able to enjoy twice as many pistes served by 12 lifts next week, as well as a Burton Snowboards demo opportunity for keen riders.
The resort, which is situated near North Creek, is planning on having a minimum of 40 trails open by Boxing Day, offering more pistes whether you’re on an East Coast ski tour, or just want an upstate escape from the Big Apple.
Four of Gore’s five freestyle areas will be open, providing trick features for all ability levels, even first-timers, while the resort’s halfpipe should be open soon after.
Gore Mountain will be hosting Burton Snowboards on December 28, so riders can demo the latest boards. That same evening, Warren Miller’s new film Wintervention will have its premier at the Tannery Pond Community Center in North Creek, with showings at 5:30pm and 7:30pm.
