Revamped Canyons Resort to launch next month

After one of the largest re-creation plans for a ski resort in 20 years, Canyons Resort is due to open on December 10, with new lifts and an improved snowmaking system, giving another reason to check out the skiing action in Utah.

New features to be unveiled include the newly positioned Red Pine Gondola, the new Orange Bubble Express, as well as the Short Cut, Saddleback and High Meadow lifts. In addition, an improved snowmaking system will ensure decent skiing conditions on the opening day.

Guests who visit this season will also be treated to expanded terrain on Iron Mountain, an exciting ski beach, featuring sun lounges, fire pits and food kiosks, a massive new mile long terrain park with more than 50 features and the recently opened Waldorf Astoria as well as more food and drink options.

Canyons offers 4,000 acres of pistes, 182 runs, five lodging properties, and a variety of dining options, while Salt Lake City International Airport is just 35 minutes away.
