Heavenly gears up for season opening

Tuesday, 26 October 2010 5:23 PM

A recent dusting of snow has meant that Heavenly resort in Lake Tahoe can begin snowmaking in advance of the 2010/11 ski season.

The resort is due to open for skiers on November 19, with 73 per cent of the routes being covered by snow cannons over the next three weeks.

As a result, visitors to the Californian resort can rely on decent piste conditions throughout the season. Those looking to stay for more than a week should investigate the Heavenly season pass which offers unlimited ski lift use for just $379 (under £240).

Better still, when you recommend the season pass to a friend, they save $20 (£13) on the price of their ticket and you get a $20 (£13) voucher which can be redeemed at bars and restaurants at the resort.

For more information on purchasing a Heavenly season pass, or to monitor the snowmaking process via Heavenly’s web cams, visit: www.skiheavenly.com
