Andy Campbell wants to prove that exploring a diversity of landscapes is within everyone’s reach, whatever their ability. So, the 37 year old has set out on an epic adventure to travel 30,000 miles across four continents in a wheelchair.
Mr Campbell became paralysed after a climbing accident eight years ago but won't let that stop him from enjoying adventure travel - and he is using the money he won from the 'Go Beyond' bursary to help fund his trip.
The 'Go Beyond' award, from Land Rover and the Royal Geographical Society, is aimed at those who want to take a journey beyond their limits and boundaries.
Starting in the UK before heading out to the Black Sea, Mr Campbell plans to climb, kayak and paraglide his way across every natural environment imaginable; from sea to desert and everything in between.
The ‘Pushing the Limits’ expedition should take two years to complete.
