Gap Adventures announces new name - G Adventures

Wednesday, 28 September 2011 10:48 AM

Gap Adventures, a small group tour operator, is changing its name to G Adventures, the company announced today, with the Canadian company rebranding its worldwide operations under the new name from 1 October.

Founder Bruce Poon Tip says that company, which first set out on a journey to transform the way people think about travel over 20 years, will now be known as G Adventures.

Bruce described the move as a “bold step” following the operator’s more than 20 years in business and says they set out on a journey to transform the way people think about travel. They discovered a niche - a gap - between mainstream travel operators and independent backpackers.

Gap Adventures and Bruce have worked long and hard to establish an identify that reflects their culture and approach to the world.

Bruce said: “The time has come for us to put those years of work to the test and take every traveller, old and new, in a new direction.

"Our name may have changed, but our principles have not. In every way that matters, we're the same company today that we were yesterday.”
