Frisky festival goers enjoy more than the music

Glastonbury kicks off the festival season this weekend as a new survey reveals that frisky festival goers are enjoying more than just the music.

A new survey has revealed that almost one in five (18 per cent) music fans have has a one night stand at a festival and one in six (15 per cent) have lost their underwear at a festival.

The research, from Generator Hotels, found that festival essentials were the most common stolen or forgotten items with one in three (29 per cent) leaving their shades and hats behind and one in four incredibly forgetting their tent.

One in three revellers (28 per cent) identified wellington boots as their priority item, good news considering the forecast for Glastonbury. One in five said toilet roll was their number one essential item.

Alison Armitage, director at Generator Hostels, said the festival season kicks off with Glastonbury this week and it’s a fun time of the year for hundreds of thousands.

“We see many coming to stay at our hostels during or after festivals looking for a dry, clean and secure place to recover,” she added.
