Berlin well worth a visit

With money getting tighter gap years may revert back to those closer to home, with interRailing across Europe a popular choice.

They promise a maximum experience on a minimum budget and with a Global Train pass, allowing unlimited travel in 30 countries, costing from just 169 Euros they’re not wrong.

France, Germany, Italy and the Benelux countries are the most popular among travellers but the passes go as far afield as Norway, Sweden and Finland as well as Romania, Turkey and Greece.

Berlin is always a popular destination with its eclectic night life and culture, from the diverse art scene to the 153 museums and the 50 theatres the city plays host to.

There’s also 9000 restaurants and snackbars, as well as a variety of nightclubs from techno music to traditional ballrooms and karaoke to some big name DJ’s at a host of venues.

The city boasts the fact that ‘night can be turned into day’ as guests can enjoy a night-time gallery tour, a trip to the theatre at midnight or as long as you want at the nightclubs, because ‘ in Berlin there is no curfew’.
