There’s always something going on to further enhance a holiday or give visitors even more of a taste of the history and culture and Travelzest has put together their list of the best festivals to visit in 2011.

The Fes World Sacred Music Festival in Morocco runs from June 3-11 celebrating a variety of styles from opera and chamber music to folk and trance.

Visitors could also tour the world’s youngest wine region as part of a five night stay in the 17th century Dar el Ghalia from £460 per person.

La Fête des Amandiers, in Corsica on August 5/6th pays tribute to all things almond, from art exhibitions, traditional markets and culinary workshops.

A stay in the traditional Tra Mare e Monti villa, which sleeps six will cost from £3,091 for the week.

Keeping on the food theme the Sicilian Cous Cous Festival takes place in San Vito Lo Capo from September 20-26th.

As well as gourmet workshops guests can also enjoy wine and olive oil tastings all to the beat of Sicilian Folk Music. Seven nights in the hotel Baglio Oneto will cost from £595 per person.
